Day 3: Filming

Vicky, Emily, Jake and I after school went to Sidcup to begin filming the new music video with our new concepts, ideas and narrative. We successfully managed to film the first verse of the music video. The reason Sidcup was chosen as one of our locations was because it was convenient for all of us at the time and we also needed to film a cafe scene which Sidcup High Street had in abundance. We used a different camera when filming this time and it worked out in our favour as the camera was much easier to use due to the basic buttons on the camera and the easy zoom-ins.

After filming, it was time to place the footage we had gathered into Final Cut to see how it looked and to place different scenes in correspondence to our storyboard. As a group we thought that the footage gathered this time looked a lot more professional and well thought out.

Final Cut editing process

As a group we decided that both Emily and Vicky would be in charge of editing he music video in Final Cut. In the begining, there were difficulties that Vicky and Emily faced due to their inexperience, but as time went on, they both became quite confident and were able to use the Final Cut software to a great standard.
