Day 4: Filming

Over the half term, on Monday 13th of September, myself, Emily, Sophie and Vicky took the time to continue to film our music video. As we were to change the majority of the video, it took us two and a half hours to film what we needed to do. We all arranged to meet at 12 to begin the filming so that we would be done in good time.

The locations that we used were Emily's house in Dartford, McDonalds in Dartford and we may also be using footage from our day 3 of filming as they might be some elements of footage that can be placed in our new footage as an overlay possibly. Using these two and a half hours to film we managed to film everything for our editing team (Emily and Vicky) to start the editing process on Final cut.

Sophie set up the camera and prepared the video camera making sure that there was tape inside for the recording of footage.

Whilst Sophie was setting up the video camera, myself and Emily were briefing Jake on the agenda of today and what we hope to achieve from today. Jake was required to lip sync most of the lyrics for the music video and was able to do so very well.

When we weren't filming or setting up in Emily's house, we were in Dartford park filming the second verse of the music video. In Dartford park, we found a little Pavilion that we felt was perfect for filming in our music video.

It worked very well as it gave our actor, "Jake" the chance to use this Pavilion as a stage and freely express himself. The area around the Pavilion was clear so if gave our actor the illusion of bring lonely and alone with no one else around him.

After gathering all of our footage for the final cut, our editing team consisting of Emily and Vicky begun the editing process in the software Final Cut pro.

Not all of the footage we have filmed has been edited but it is in the process of editing. There is also more footage to be filmed for the final cut of the music video.
