Changes

After reading and taking in all of the comments on our music video, we decided that the next step was to decide what needed to be done. After carefully suggesting and deliberating ideas, the one idea that stood out was that of change. The change that would take place was our whole video storyline and concept. Our very first concept which was apparent in our rough cut was that of a stalker following and chasing after our actor in different locations such as Camden.

Things that we are hoping to change:

• Transitions and neat editing
• Changed from a narrative to having some elements of a performance
• linking the images with the lyrics of the song

After carefully analysing the lyrics, we agreed that there were no elements of anyone being stlaked let alone the breaking down of a relationship. What the lyrics do portray is a 'state of flux' or a state of change. The idea we have is of a couple going through a rough patch, not knowing what to do with themselves as far as the relationship is concerned which in turn is causing a state of flux. 

The video is still a narrative but also has elements of a performance meaning that the music video has to tell a story. The link between the lyrics and imagery is very important and something that we as a group are looking very carefully at. Making the video partly a performance makes the video look more 'proffessional'.
