Target Audience

The audience that we are aiming to target is that of the "Indie/Indie Scenesters".

What is an "Indie/Indie Scenester"?
Indie's are people who want to be ahead of the crowd and are willing to invest time and effort into the paraphernalia and detail of their sub-culture. Indie Scenesters exist thanks to the fashionable status of guitar music (though for them it’s often about mixing it up with more electronic sounds) and are linked to the general rise of instant fashionability – of fashion and music trends having much faster lifecycles thanks to the commodification of cool.

What do "Indie/Indie Scenesters" wear?
The look – skinny jeans, Converse, stripes and Americana T-shirts.
Currently labels such as American Apparel, Topshop/Topman and Uniqlo are high street staples, with House of Holland appealing to more affluent members of the Indie Scenester crowd.

A lot of hoodies and jumpers that indie hipsters buy come from American Apparel.

Topman is known for its printed tee's, printed jumpers, skinny jeans, coats and jackets that the majority of  indie hipsters purchase.

Cheap Monday trousers are a brand of jeans that many indie hipsters purchase for  "if you want a skinny look"

Audience Demographics

Our target audience age will range from 16-25 year olds. This age has been chosen as our target because we feel that people of these ages are more likely to be involved in the indie scene via the internet, music and television. Any age below or above this age range are filtered out because they are less likely to listen to radio stations that broadcast Indie music such as last fm and music tv channels, NME.
